On 15 November 2025,we hosted the latest edition of Seeco Insights — our in-house knowledge series designed to help investors explore ideas in wealth creation. Held at Taj Connemara, Chennai, this edition brought together 75+ HNIs for an energetic, high-engagement evening.

The Theme: Shaping the Decade Ahead

We chose this theme deliberately. The next 10 years in India are going to look very different from the last 10. New asset classes are emerging. Global capital is flowing in. Tax regimes are evolving. And the investors who understand these shifts early will be the ones who benefit most.

The evening was structured around three big ideas that we believe every serious investor needs to think about heading into 2026 and beyond.

What we discussed

1. The case for private credit in India

As banks tighten lending, private credit is filling the gap. We walked through how HNIs can access this asset class, what the risk-return profile looks like, and how to evaluate deals carefully.

2. Global diversification — why now, and how

The rupee has depreciated consistently over decades. Holding 100% of your wealth in Indian assets is a concentration risk most investors don't think about. We covered practical ways to add global exposure within the LRS framework.

3. The new tax landscape and what it means for your portfolio

With changes to LTCG, indexation removal, and the new tax regime, portfolio construction needs to evolve. We discussed specific restructuring strategies that our clients have been implementing.

The room

What made the evening special was the quality of conversation. We had founders, CXOs, doctors, and seasoned investors all in the same room — each bringing a different lens to the same questions. The Q&A ran 45 minutes over schedule because nobody wanted to stop.
